The Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA) has confirmed it still intends to host the 2020 Condesa Co Lab Australian Coffee Championships, which were postponed from last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

ASCA said in a newsletter on 12 January it intends to schedule the tournament for early March.

It will be following the updated World Coffee Events Rules and Regulations which have been introduced to facilitate safer judge evaluation of drinks, while ensuring that social distancing guidelines are maintained.

ASCA President Kieran Westlake discusses what the 2020 Condesa Co Lab Australian Coffee Championships could look like, should state borders be open, in the February edition of BeanScene, out soon.

With the 2020 World Coffee Championships cancelled, Australian champions will represent their country at the 2021 edition of their disciplines.
