On 27 November, Almond Breeze took time out to celebrate its successful year in Australia with a bespoke Christmas luncheon overlooking the Sydney skyline at O Bar and Dining.
Executive chef Darren Templeman treated guests to a five-course almond-inspired degustation menu showcasing the versatility of Almond Breeze products.
Such creations included almond and asparagus pannacotta with crisp coastal roasmary and shaved almond, whipped almond and white soy tofu, robata grilled brassicas and mushroom powder, and chocolate and almond semi-freddo with macerated Tasmanian cherries and frozen chocolate granola.
Almond Breeze started operating in Australia in 2012. Almond Breeze has been growing and harvesting almonds for more than 100 years and is now considered the world’s largest almond farmer’s cooperative. Australia is the largest market for Almond Breeze outside of the United States.
The Almond Breeze Barista Blend was conceived and launched in Australia in 2014, and has become the number one almond milk in the foodservice industry in Australia. The product is now being rolled out globally.
“With over 100 years experience working with almonds, we will be continuing to drive leading-edge innovation globally as well as in Australia with the launch of a number of new products on the horizon in the coming years,” says Michael McNulty, Country Director for Almond Breeze Australia and New Zealand.
