The Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA) has announced it will host the 2023 ASCA Coffee Roasting Championship from 8 to 9 July at Criteria Coffee in Port Melbourne.
Competitors will be challenged to test their skills over several rounds of coffee grading, profile development and ultimate cup quality, with the Australian champion taking on the globe in the annual World Roasting Championships.
Registrations for the event open on 5 June at 10am AEST and close on 12 June at 5pm AEST.
Green coffee will be sent out from Melbourne by 21 June and roasted coffee will be received by 7 July to be assessed at the competition.
The top 10 finalists will go on to compete in the final round at Criteria Coffee from 2 to 3 September.
