ASCA opens applications to host Regional Championships

Regional Championships

The Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA) has opened applications for venues interested in and capable of hosting its Regional Championships for the 2020 competition season.

ASCA is currently seeking tenders from venues located in all states and territories. There are four regional events held each year:

  • Southern for Victoria and Tasmania,
  • Western covering Western and South Australia,
  • Northern for Queensland and the Northern Territory,
  • Central covering the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales.

ASCA is especially interested in venues that can accommodate marketing opportunities for our sponsors, such as street frontage in populated areas, and space for additional activations, including competitor coffee tasting and food trucks.

In 2018, Regional Championship venues included Veneziano Coffee West End in Queensland, Criteria Coffee in Victoria, Double Shot Coffee Fiesta in South Australia, and Specialty Coffee Curators in New South Wales.

The ASCA Competitions Committee is also currently seeking nominations. All members of the ASCA community are encouraged to think about nominating for a position.

Positions available include National Scorekeeper, Southern Region Competition Manager, Volunteer Coordinator, and General Member.
