ASCA and World Coffee Events (WCE) are inviting members of the specialty coffee community to get WCE Judge Certified at Veneziano Coffee Roasters, from 8 – 9 March.
Over two days, WCE will guide participants through a series of performance-based and written tests that measure a judges ability to perform successfully in a WCE competition.
Participants who pass all written and practical tests will receive certification for either the World Barista Championship, World Latte Art Championship, World Brewers Cup and World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship.
ASCA members may certify for any or all of these championships over the course of the certification.
Participants may only certify for technical or sensory judging, which is then valid for three years.
To attend a WCE Judge Certification, participants must either possess judging experience in one world championship competition, or two years of judging experience at a national-level competition, or have one year of judging experience at a national-level WCE sanctioned competition and have completed a World Competitions Education Program for the specific competition.
