Dairy enthusiasts around Australia are being encouraged to apply for the chance to be an official judge of the 21st annual Australian Grand Dairy Awards on 31 October.
Ten amateur judges will be chosen to support a panel of professionals. The judges will sample 57 Australian cheeses, ice creams, butters, milks, creams and yogurts across 19 categories.
“This opportunity is a dairy lover’s dream. Whether you consider yourself a cheese connoisseur or ice cream aficionado, this is your chance to try gold-medal winning dairy products and play a hand in determining the cream of the crop,” says Sonia Cousins, Grand Dairy Awards Judge.
Sonia will also take competition winners through a tasting tutorial.
The Australian Grand Dairy Awards take place at the Australian Grand Dairy Awards Headquarters in Southbank, Melbourne on 31 October, from 6pm to 8pm.
To apply for a judge position, applicants should explain why they will make the perfect dairy and cheese judge in 25 words or less. Entries close on 24 October 2019 at 11:59pm AEST.
