Australia’s Richest Barista competitors announced

The competitors of the inaugural Australia’s Richest Barista competition have been announced.

Participants include Bronson Sheedy of Fish River Roasters, Carlos Mena from RGIT Australia, Ryan Clark of Di Pacci, Harry Lin from The Q on Harris, Corey Williams of Odyssey Coffee Roasters, Jae Kim of St Ali, Juan Escobar from Parallel Roasters, Ruby Zhu of Ruby Coffee, and Aum Phithakphon from Udom House.

Contenders also include Victor Vu, Hany Ezzat, and Devin Loong of Ona Coffee, Pirada Tungbenjaphol and Rawirat Techasitthanet of JiBBi Coffee Roaster, Phuc Quynh Pham and Duy Tran Thanh Vo of Raven Mead, Melanie Sugeng from Thieves Coffee, Selina Park from Matinee, James (Byung Kyu) Kim of Ned’s Bake, Vee Limbu from Salvage Specialty Coffee, Suyasha Shrestha of Irish Pub, Johnny Lau, and Dan Bottesini of Toby’s Estate.

More competitors in the competition are Kay Wong from Nono, Jayson Javier of Coffee Man, Gabrel Tan of Veneziano Coffee Roasters, Lucky Salvador of Kafe Utu/Coffee Man, Mahamat Abdrahman of Wooden Coffee, Quoc Vuong from Australia Barista Training, Simon Gautherin from Zest Specialty Coffee, Kael Zhao of Little Chloe Roaster and Cafe, and DC Wen from Rush Roasting Co.

The competition is a knock-out format, fast-paced competition designed to exhibit incredible barista talent to the global coffee industry and all the coffee lovers.

Australia’s Richest Barista will take place across each day of the 2023 Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE), from 17 to 19 August at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
