In celebration of International Coffee Day, the Consulate-General of Brazil in Sydney is hosting a business breakfast in Sydney on 1 October.
At the breakfast, Brazilian coffee suppliers will present their specialty coffees to an audience of coffee roasters, importers, businesspeople, and members of the press.
This year, the International Coffee Organization has chosen coffee price levels as the theme for International Coffee Day, focusing on the economic reality of the coffee sector – from the producer to the final consumer.
As the largest producer and exporter of coffee in the world, the Consulate-General says Brazil has long been associated with excellence and sustainability from bean to cup. It says economic sustainability of coffee producers has always been a key element of Brazilian policies for the coffee industry. It adds that due to the efficiency of Brazilian producers, even low international prices are still profitable and economically sustainable.
A relatively new development is the growing presence of high-quality specialty coffees from Brazil in the international market.
Coffees from Café Itaoca, Café Santa Monica, Coffee O’Mello, and Sao Silvestre Farm will be featured at the event.
The Consulate-General says the business breakfast will be a great opportunity to be up to date with recent developments in the coffee industry in Brazil and taste some of the best coffee in the world.
The breakfast will take place at Braza Restaurant from 8:30am to 10:30am. Seats are limited, and attendees are required to RSVP.
Coffee will be supplied by Minas Hill, Brazilian Style Imports, Santa Monica, Southland Merchants and Vantage Business Intelligence.
The Brazilian coffee breakfast is organised in partnership with the Australia-Latin America Business Council, Australia Brazil Business Council, Australia Brazil Chamber of Commerce, Brazilian Specialty Coffee Association, and ApexBrasil.
