Italian food emporium Brunetti Classico is inviting Melburnians to fashion their own festive gingerbread creations at its flagship store on Lygon Sreet, Carlton.

“This is this first time we’ve run gingerbread decorating classes for both adults and children in the lead up to Christmas,” says Brunetti Classico Owner Fabio Angele.

“For the adults we will have Build and Sip sessions. Participants will be tasked with constructing a gingerbread house and styling it with Christmas treats, while enjoying an Italian style refreshment and an aperitivo.”

The sessions for adults will run every Friday and Saturday night from 7pm to 9pm, commencing 29 November until 21 December.

Tickets will cost $70 and will include an alcoholic refreshment, aperitivo, materials, and instruction.

The gingerbread decorating classes for children aged two to 10 years will be walk in sessions and run every Saturday from 2pm to 5pm and Sunday from 10am to 1pm. Parents and/or guardians of children must attend all times during the session to supervise their child or children. Materials will be provided and tickets will cost $13.90 per child.

“We hope these classes inspire the inner Pro Hart or da Vinci in all participants,” says Fabio.

Tickets to the adult festive Build and Sip classes are available to purchase here.

Brunetti Classico’s full festive range is available at its Lygon Street store in Carlton. While select products are available at its Moonee Ponds, Coburg, Airport [T2 & T4] and Drummond Street stores.

“Back by popular demand, we have our traditional favourites including fruit mince tarts, panettone and buccelato, as well as contemporary favourites such as the almond wreath and chocolate santa,” says Fabio.

The full Brunetti Classico festive product catalogue is available here.
