Australian specialty coffee roaster Campos Coffee has announced the appointment of John Ronchi as Director, Customer Relationships.
John takes on the new national leadership role after serving as Director of Campos Queensland since 2007. He will oversee Campos Coffee’s national wholesale network and be responsible for cultivating relationships with Campos’ café partners across Australia.
John has been involved in the coffee industry since 1996, owning and operating several cafés before launching Campos Coffee in Brisbane in 2008 with business partner Eugene Phua.

Will Young, Founder of Campos Coffee, says over recent years the business has expanded on multiple fronts, and John will help ensure the same quality experience it has become known for is replicated wherever the its green cup is found.
“I believe truly great coffee should feel like a moment of respite, something you genuinely cherish, rather than just ‘filling up the tank’,” Will says.
“Often as businesses scale, they lose that special something that made them unique – with John in this new leadership role, I know we’ll stay true to ourselves and who we are.”
John says he’s lived and breathed coffee since opening his first café more than 20 years ago, and that Campos Coffee’s café partners were one of the secrets to its success.
“I’ve built close relationships with our Queensland, Northern New South Wales, and Northern Territory café partners during my 12 years with Campos, and what unites us is our passion for coffee,” he says.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know our partners across Australia, supporting them in any way I can, while also seeking new cafés who share our vision of making coffee a force for good in the world.”
