Campos Coffee is the only Australian company to have purchased 300 units of the Esmeralda Special Tumaco San Jose ES-N-5 Natural Geisha, which is now available to purchase from Campos Coffee in celebration of International Coffee Day.

The Tumaco San Jose ES-N-5 was bought from the highly anticipated Hacienda La Esmeralda Special Auction, which is a private online auction that offers the most exclusive and expensive Geisha micro lots.

The Hacienda La Esmeralda farm’s Geishas are known for their signature flavours of exotic tropical, elegant florals, super high sweetness, and silky textures.

“Since the Hacienda La Esmeralda Special Auction began in 2007, we have been Australia’s most consistently active participant, with the signature red label of Esmeralda becoming an annual highlight in our cafes and a regular winner in local and International roasting competitions,” says Lloyd Thom, Campos Coffee Green Bean Buyer.

The Tumaco San Jose ES-N-5 received a quality score of 93 out of 100, which is the highest Campos Coffee will offer this year.

The Geisha micro lot is from Cañas Verdes, one of four of the separated plots on Hacienda La Esmeralda’s farms. Campos Coffee says it was on this land, in addition to El Velo, Palmyra, and Jaramillo that Geisha was rediscovered.

“Every coffee in this auction is spectacular in its own right and it can be a tough task, albeit extremely delicious one, to select a favourite amongst a selection of such high scoring coffees,” says Lloyd.

“We love coffee and are very serious about the quality and consistency of our offering, which is why we’re excited to share thisexclusive, one-of-a-kind release with some of our customers.”

These limited-edition micro lots are available to purchase from Campos Coffee flagship stores, selected Campos Coffee partner cafes, and through the Campos Coffee website. This year’s release also comes with an exclusive collector’s pin.

Founded in 2002 by Will Young, Campos Coffee is a pioneering Australian coffee brand with a team of passionate pioneers that seek to help more people experience the joy of a great coffee.
