Australia’s 2026 World Brewers Cup representative, Simon Gautherin, is set to take to the stage on Thursday morning local time, with his Round 1 open service run scheduled to take place at 11:58am.
He earned his trip to Brussels following his 2026 Australian Brewers Cup Championship win, where his score of 478 points was enough to defeat runner-up Alexander Moore (461 points) and third-placed Dao Pirada (444 points).
The opening round of the World Brewers Cup Championship will take place over two days – 25 and 26 June.
Those hoping to stay up to date with Danny Andrade’s performances in the World Roasting Championship from home have been similarly rewarded with an amenable start time.
Danny has been placed in competition group four alongside Chinese Taipei’s Ashton Huang, Greece’s Thanasis Angelopoulos, Romania’s Marius Nica, and Mexico’s Diego Marroquín.
He will be roasting from 11:55am local time on the second day of competition, 26 June, where competitors will be given 30 minutes to roast a single origin, and an hour to roast a blend.
Danny will also be at the WCC Roast Bar from 3:15pm on 26 June.
The World Coffee Championships YouTube channel says it will be livestreaming competition performances.
