Plant milks set to soar in 2020

According to the Australian Dairy Plan, the plant-based milk category grew by 82 per cent to 95 million litres last year. Califia Farms says with Veganuary taking place throughout the month of January, the demand for dairy alternatives will reach new levels in 2020, with more than 350,000 people expected to switch to a plant-based diet at the beginning of the year.

Government bans pure and highly concentrated caffeine products

Pure and highly concentrated caffeine food products will be banned from today as the Australian Government delivers on its earlier commitment to protect consumers. The ban applies to foods for retail sale where total caffeine is present in a concentration of five per cent more in solid or semi-solid foods, like powders, and one per cent or more if the food is in liquid form.
