Coffee roasting masterclass explores optimising flavour and scaling operations

Roaster manufacturer Bühler is hosting an online coffee roasting masterclass on 15 July which will provide insight into coffee market product trends, how to optimise the flavour profiles, and how to scale your operations.

Coffee business is steadily increasing across Southeast Asia and Oceania, pushed by new consumption habits and retail product innovation. Bühler says entrepreneurs should not only master the art of roasting but be experts in production scaling if they want to develop and maintain flavour profiles.

Topics include market trends in coffee chains and coffee retail market, processing technology behind great coffee, science of coffee roasting: develop the full flavour potential of your beans, and technological inspiration from coffee processing plants around the world.

Coffee Roasting Masterclass: Optimize flavor & scale your operations will be held at 1pm AEST on Wednesday, 15 July.

Attendees will receive an online certificate when they complete a webinar view time of 45 minutes or more.

Dr. Stefan Schenker
Global Head of Business Unit Coffee, Bühler
Dr. Stefan Schenker is a dedicated business leader and coffee scientist with more than 20 years’ experience in coffee processing technology. His professional career started at Nestlé, Product Technology Centre where he worked in as R&D project leader from 2000 to 2008, in the fields of Nescafé, Nespresso, Dolce Gusto. From 2010 until now he works as Managing Director of Business Unit Coffee, Bühler, AG.

Christoph Ziegler
Global Director of Sales Business Unit Coffee, Bühler
Since 2013, Christoph Ziegler was appointed as worldwide Director of Sales for the Coffee Business Unit at Bühler AG Headquarters in Uzwil/Switzerland. Mr Ziegler a graduated Mechanical Engineer from the University of Applied Sciences in St. Gallen Switzerland. With extensive international experience in sales and senior management positions, he has been with Bühler for more than 40 years in various functions in the Chocolate and Coffee Business Units.

Bryan Soh
Regional Manager of Consumer Foods, Bühler
Bryan Soh responsible for the business area of Consumer Foods (Cocoa, Chocolate, Coffee) in South East Asia. He joined Bühler in 2013, and he is now responsible for the Consumer Foods sales team across South East Asia. He has experience in developing multiple coffee projects from green bean to roasted beans across Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Agnes Ervina
Technologist Cocoa, Chocolate and Coffee, Bühler
Ervina is Technologist for Bühler Consumer Food business especially in Cocoa, Chocolate and Coffee. She holds a master degree in Food Techonology from Wageningen University, The Netherlands. Ervina has experiences as R&D in FMCG company and over 7 years with Bühler now. She is managing Bühler’s Application centre in Indonesia serving training course, product trial and development.
