Dr. Monika Fekete of Coffee Science Lab is set to host a comprehensive workshop examining the science behind the role of water in coffee on 11th October from 1pm to 5pm at 14 Duke Street, Abbotsford.
Monika says the four-hour workshop will give participants the right tools to design the best brew water possible to pair with their coffee.
During this workshop, participants will explore how water dissolves coffee solids during extraction on a molecular level, discover how minerals in water affect coffee taste, understand and use the right minerals to create brew water, design recipes by calculating the correct amounts of each ingredient, and take home stock solutions made on the day.
This workshop is a blend of theory and practical activities for attendants to try, test and clarify.
