Coffee Tools Distributing announces departure of AeroPress

Coffee Tools Distributing announces departure of Aeropress.

Australian distributor of premium coffee tools and accessories Coffee Tools Distributing has announced it is no longer representing AeroPress.

According to Coffee Tools Distributing, the announcement comes after the ownership at AeroPress decided to take a change in the company’s strategic direction.

“It is with great sadness that we announce that Coffee Tools Distributing is no longer representing AeroPress,” says Director of Coffee Tools Distributing Curtis Arnold.

“The current ownership has taken the brand in a decidedly different direction since taking over and has unfortunately made the decision that there is also a need to change its direction in distribution.”

Curtis expresses the team’s sadness of the recent departure, after distributing the product in Australia since 2006, but looks positively towards the arrival of new products and his plans to bring to them to the Australian coffee market.

“Having introduced AeroPress to Australia 18 years ago, we can’t begin to express how disappointing this is for the team at Coffee Tools Distributing,” says Curtis.

“The AeroPress has been a huge part of our identity for nearly two decades, but now it’s time to move on. We’re very fortunate to have more than 15 other brands to share with the coffee community and we will continue striving to provide the best equipment and service possible. We have many new and exciting products arriving soon and we’re very much looking forward to the next two decades.”

In 2021, the Canadian holding company Tiny Capital announced its acquirement of  AeroPress. The AeroPress was created by engineer Alan Adler, who first introduced the  coffee maker at Coffee Fest Seattle in November 2005.
