NZSCA crowns NZ Brewers Cup and Cup Tasters Champions

Help build a database of coffee labels available from all over the world.

Coffunity, a creation of Andrea and Federico Bolanos, is soon to launch a new mobile app that will help coffee consumers make informed purchasing decisions.

Users will be able to take a picture of any coffee label and receive instant access to that coffee’s full details along with reviews and ratings of all the coffee lovers and experts around the world who use the Coffunity app.

This ever-growing coffee library will include details of coffee flavour notes, country of origin, farmer, varietal, processing method, roaster, and more.

But before the big reveal in a few months, Coffunity has launched a Coffee Label Contest App to gather a database of coffees, which is now open until 16 April.

Using the Contest App, users are encouraged to take photos of coffee labels and upload them to help grow the database. In return, users will go in the draw to win a coffee kit feature a Chemex, Stage Kettle, Acaia Scale and Comandante grinder.

Coffunity Co-Founder Federico Bolanos has trained seven El Salvador Barista Champions and the 2011 World Barista Champion. He is a certified Q-Grader, a Coffee Consultant, the founder of Viva Espresso.
