From 18 to 22 October, HostMilano 2019 saw more than 200,000 visitors pass through its doors. This marks a 7 per cent jump in attendance compared to the event’s last edition in 2017.
Forty per cent of attendees were international, coming from 171 countries. As well as originating from European countries such as Spain, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, large delegations attended from the United States, China, the Middle and Far East. There were also those who had travelled from as far as the Fiji Islands or Nicaragua.
“The extraordinary results of this edition of Host confirm how valid the strategy of Fiera Milano is, namely to focus on making its events international reference hubs,” says Fabrizio Curci, Managing Director and General Manager of Fiera Milano.
HostMilano identifies as an exhibition that showcases worldwide previews of technological innovation and that anticipates out-of-home trends and consumer styles. It says a large number of Italian and international exhibitors illustrated how their products accommodate the users’ desires.
Event organisers say a propensity for storytelling was reflected in a dynamic following on social media. The Instagram accounts connected to the trade fair registered more than 650 pieces of contents, reaching 1.1 million single users.
HostMilano 2019 hosted a schedule of more than 800 high-profile events dedicated to training and information on issues such as sustainability and Industry 4.0, including artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, in addition to competitions, demonstrations with experts of various disciplines.
The 42nd edition of HostMilano will take place from 22 to 26 October 2021.
