The International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA) Australian Chapter has announced its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held as an online event on 22 November from 6pm to 7:30pm.
The AGM is for members of the Chapter to recap and reflect on major happenings in the last year and a discussion of the aspirations and goals for next year, recent alliances, IWCA global highlights and announcing the next board with its members.
IWCA Australia is a safe, inclusive coffee community fuelled by its diverse membership roles in the coffee value chain. The commitment and self-determination of its membership drives opportunities for engagement, advancement and inclusion of women and marginalised persons in the coffee industry.
When becoming a member of IWCA, you are part of a global network and have access to 32 other sister Chapters and members who share their own experiences and knowledge, strengthening perceptions of the roles women and marginalised people play across the coffee value chain.
The IWCA is part of a global network of self-driven and self-governing chapters focused on achieving sustainable livelihoods in their communities.
In Australia the IWCA’s goal is to empower women in the international coffee community to achieve meaningful and sustainable lives, and encourage and recognise the participation of women in all aspects of the coffee industry.
