Brisbane’s coffee scene has just gotten bigger with the arrival of Lait Noir in March 2023, a Parisian-inspired coffee shop complete with luxe decor. Here, guests can enjoy a caffeinated brew underneath seven- metre-high ceilings and over white marble benchtops.

“We are so proud to be opening our doors for workers, visitors, and locals to experience a little bit of Paris right here in the CBD,” says Lait Noir Operations Manager Charlotte Bourguignon.

Quiches, frittatas, and beef bourguignon pie are highlights from the café’s savoury menu. For dessert, tempt your tastebuds with lemon meringue and passionfruit tarts, choc-fudge caramel brownies and carrot cake. Sweet bites also include lemon muffins, apple tarts and mini French doughnuts.

“We pride ourselves on quality and service, with all of our pastries and desserts made with true French ingredients from some of the best French suppliers in Brisbane,” Charlotte says.

A Slayer coffee machine pumps out Toby’s Estate’s Woolloomooloo brew, featuring distinct flavours of heavy chocolate, dried fruits, and butterscotch.

“We’re very happy with Toby’s Estate coffee. Our customers have loved it from the start. We also have a really great working relationship with the sales representatives. They’re always available to answer any questions I have,” Charlotte says.

Building residents will also be happy that Lait Noir operates on the ground floor, with the café also planning to offer a concierge service for tenants.

“Seeing our customer’s smiling faces every morning is such a highlight for me. I had a lady come in this morning who told us our service is always fabulous. It brings me great comfort knowing we brighten people’s day and send them on their way with a great coffee,” Charlotte says.
