Visitors to this year’s Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF) will be treated to the industry’s latest fashion styles, and coffee trends.

Lavazza is the official coffee partner of VAMFF 2016, running from 7 – 13 March.
Guests to VAMFF can indulge in Lavazza Coffee Caviar, invented by world-renowned Chef Ferran Adrià.

Ferran collaborated with the Lavazza Coffee Design Innovation team at its Turin-based training centre using the molecular gastronomy technique ‘spherification’. The result of combining two agents – alginate and calcium – is Lavazza Coffee Caviar, tiny balls filled with liquid that melt in the mouth.

Lavazza Coffee Caviar will be complementary to VAMFF guests 30 minutes before each runway show, only at the Lavazza Café Bar.

The Lavazza Café Bar will offer a menu created by D.O.C. Gastronomia Italiana. Visit the coffe bar before and after runway shows to enjoy hot and cold beverages including espresso, macchiato, cappuccino, flat white, café latte, iced coffee made with cold brewed coffee and ice, and Lavazza’s signature cremespresso with milk and sorbet.

Those who prefer a tipple pre-show can order the Lavazza Martini, reinvented using Frangelico.  Also on offer is a tasting plate including San Daniele prosciutto, Parmagiano Reggiano, house-made focaccia with tuna, Sicilian caper and mayonnaise, and a four-vegetable shot. A Supper Club post show menu will also be available.

Visitors to the Festival Hub can join Sydney-based illustrator and creator of The Lust List, Sally Spratt, who will be based at the Lavazza Café Bar. Sally will hand colour illustrations for visitors to the café each day of the festival prior to each show.

The Lavazza Café Bar will be open daily throughout VAMFF: 8 – 11 March 4.00pm – 11.00pm, 12 – 13 March 10.30am – 11.00pm
