Audition for My Kitchen Rules at MICE2017

Lavazza has returned to the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF) to cement its ongoing connection to arts and culture.

Just outside the Royal Exhibition Building in the Plaza, the new-look Lavazza Café was unveiled on 14 March and will remain open from 5.30pm daily throughout the festival from 14 – 19 March 2017.

It also marks the inaugural launch of the highly anticipated partnership with renowned Melbourne dessert master Darren Purchese of Burch & Purchese.

Darren, who owns one of Australia’s most recognised sweet studios, has fashioned five bespoke dessert creations to be served exclusively at the 2017 Lavazza Café including:

• Lavazza coffee, caramelised white chocolate and avocado cream tube ($5)
• Coconut, passionfruit, ginger and mint tube ($5)
• Lavazza coffee, dark chocolate and salted caramel tart ($5)
• Milk chocolate and Lavazza coffee wagon wheel ($5)
• White chocolate choc pops ($2)

Patrons of the festival are also able to try Lavazza’s new coffee cocktails in addition to its everyday coffee blends, including The Lavazza Spritz “Mamma Mia”, Espresso Martini “Ciao Bella”, and Passion Fashion “La Dolce Vita” drink.

Also partnering with the global Italian coffeehouse for the festival is Melbourne illustrators Santiago Sunbird who created the colourful design wrapped around the giant Lavazza cup, stationed inside the VAMFF Plaza next to the Lavazza Café.

While Lavazza is trending with its latest creations in the Plaza, on the catwalk, fashion influencer and stylist Lana Wilkinson says expects to see bold stripes, velvet, mulburry and fire engine red make a big statement.

“This season is all about adding accessories to complement the perfect outfirt, and wearing items that are cool but uniquely you. It’s always important to have fun with what you’re wearing – and add pops of colour,” Lana says.
