Mahlkönig is headed to Australia to launch the EK Omnia coffee grinder in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, with the help of Australian distribution partners Brewtech and AMC.

The Melbourne launch event will take place on 6 December at Brewtech at 36 Stubbs Street, Kensington from 5pm to 9pm.

The Sydney event will take place on 8 December at La Marzocco at 14 Underwood Avenue, Botany from 5pm to 9pm.

The launch event in Brisbane will take place on 14 December at Veneziano Coffee Roasters at 369 Montague Road, West End from 5pm to 9pm. Food and drink will be available at each of the launch events.

According to Mahlkönig, the grinder is equipped with new features that makes it an indispensable tool for high demand, high-expectation settings. The Library Mode allows baristas to save their favourite grinding recipes that the EK Omnia automatically adjusts to. Or baristas can manually adjust the grind size and dosing time as needed.

A pre-dosing hopper unit adds volumetric dosing, the adjustable magnetic portafilter holder serves as a masterstroke in efficiency, and the front-facing LED screen is an easy-to-use interface to set ultra-precise micro-adjustments of grind size.

Mahlkönig will also showcase The Sync System, pairing the Mahlkönig E80W Grind-by-Sync espresso grinder with a La Marzocco machine at the event. The system allows wireless communication between the grinder and espresso machine and ensures that every espresso shot is reproducible in all outlets, and by anyone operating the machine.
