Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) is giving roasters more opportunities to shine at its 2025 event, thanks to a series of new features set to position them as industry headliners, including the launch of the inaugural Roasters Playground.

“We know roasters are the heartbeat of the Australian coffee industry and they deserve to be front and centre at Australia’s only dedicated coffee expo,” says Lauren Chartres, Show Director of MICE.

Equipment manufacturer La Marzocco is supporting the new Roasters Playground, which will see more than 50 roasters given the opportunity to showcase their products to a global audience over the course of the three-day event.

Participating roasters will only need to bring their coffee and a skilled barista to facilitate in the tasting sessions, which will be hosted in time slots throughout the expo.

“Thanks to the generosity of our partners at La Marzocco, roasters are able to access MICE without having to sacrifice too much time spent away from their roastery or cafe,” says Lauren.

“We want roasters to be able to focus on what they do best, which is to provide Australians with delicious coffee.”

The Roasters Playground will also be supported by Australian-owned dairy producer Riverina Fresh, which will be supplying its barista-favourite milk to participating roasters.

The tradeshow will return for its much-anticipated 12th edition from 20 to 22 March 2025 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

MICE serves as a vital platform to bring together café proprietors, roasters, equipment producers, service providers, and others to foster genuine business prospects. Across the three-day tradeshow, MICE will offer unparalleled features where education, innovation, and experience all collide under one roof.

Enquiries are now open for roasters wanting to get involved in MICE2025.
