Dairy alternative powerhouse MILKLAB has been confirmed as a platinum sponsor of the 2027 Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE27), further consolidating the show’s position as a central hub for the Australian coffee industry.

Landing at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 4-6 March, MICE27 looks set to be back with a bang with the return of the likes of the Roasters Playground, MICE at Night, and Trip to Origin, delivering value to a diverse range of show attendees.

MILKLAB Assistant Brand Manager, Sheridan Smith, says the brand’s partnership with MICE over the years has been positive for all involved.

“MICE has always been more than a trade show for MILKLAB. It’s one of the rare times the whole coffee community is in the same place, from café owners and baristas through to roasters and suppliers,” says Sheridan.

“It’s where you hear what people are working on, what’s changing in cafés, and where new ideas come to life.

“Over the years, MICE has helped MILKLAB build genuine relationships across the coffee community. What started as an opportunity to connect with cafés and baristas has evolved into ongoing collaboration with the people shaping coffee culture every day.

MILKAB’s presence has grown year-on-year through activations like the Roaster Royale and Barista Battles, where champions earn the opportunity to compete on the world stage.

At MICE26, Yuhei Toyoda of Runyeh Coffee was named Roaster Royale winner, earning $10,000 in prize money and a trip to Colombia.

Tsung Han (Zone) Lee won the Australian Barista Battle, before going on to win the International Barista Battle the following day and earn a ticket to World of Coffee Panama.

With MILKLAB’s high-energy activations sitting alongside MICE’s curated education program, Trip to Origin, Roasters Playground, and more, the 2027 event looks set to deliver something for every corner of the industry.

Tickets and registrations are now open at internationalcoffeeexpo.com/attend
