Milklab has been announced as the café lounge sponsor for the Business Chicks 9 to Thrive Summit in Melbourne.
The one-day career development conference brings together international and local speakers, and provides leadership insights, networking, and highly curated workshop sessions from Facebook, Google and Amazon.
The Milklab Lounge will allow guests to grab a Milklab coffee or hot chocolate and have some downtime throughout the day. Three additional Milklab coffee carts will be serving coffees throughout the venue.
“We’re so thrilled to have Milklab on board for our biggest event of the year, 9 to Thrive Summit in Melbourne. With the popularity of plant-based foods – and coffee in general – it’s so important for us to partner with brands who meet our customer’s needs,” says Samantha Griffiths, Senior Events Manager at Business Chicks.
“The Milklab Lounge at 9 to Thrive Summit will be the perfect space for guests to relax and catch up during the day while they enjoy a Milklab coffee or hot chocolate.”
At the event, Milklab will introduce their new partnership with Muffin Break, serving their award-winning coffee blend.
“By joining forces at 9 to Thrive, it allows us to promote our new partnership where Milklab will now be available at Muffin Break cafes nationwide,” says Sarah Herbert, Marketing Manager at Milklab.
Natalie Brennan, General Manager of Muffin Break, says partnering with Milklab has allowed the chain to meet the needs of the growing market.
“At Muffin Break, due to lifestyle, allergies and dietary requirements we’ve seen our customers’ demand increase for an extended range of plant-based milks,” Natalie says.
“We’re proud of our partnership with Milklab. The alternative based range including Almond and Lactose Free Milk has been created by baristas for baristas to enhance and complement our blend.”
Coffee at the event is free to guests supplying their own reusable cup. For guests without a reusable cup, Milklab will request one gold coin donation per drink. Milklab will donate all proceeds from the day to CaféSmart. CafeSmart is an initiative by StreetSmart to unite the coffee industry and consumers to help the homeless.
“We are really excited to be part of this highly anticipated event and look forward to sharing the Milklab experience with as many women as possible on the day,” Sarah says.
Two to three thousand women are expected to attend the one-day event on 25 November at the Melbourne Convention Centre.
