Nelson Lin of Café Central has won the 2019 Northern Territory Breezey Masters, held at Kopi Stop in Darwin in June.
Laneway Specialty Coffee’s Tricia Wong, Nikki Chen, Kit Han Tsang from Kopi Stop, and Soul Origin’s Louis Vo rounded out the top five.
Almost 20 competitors took part in the event, which had skipped NT the last few years. The venue is owned by former NT Breezey Masters champ Jules Mouldy.
Nelson came out on top in all three rounds in the competition, and will join the four other regional finalists in September in Sydney for the Breezey Masters grand finals at Specialty Coffee Curators.
Due to confusion in the scoring process, Almond Breeze will host a second NT Breezey Master ahead of the grand final, with dates to be announced soon.
Breezey Masters will next head to Western Australia at The Faculty at Northbridge Coffee Roasters on the 16 July.
