Bring the WBC to your city in 2018/9

From the May 2017 issue.

World Coffee Events are accepting proposals to host a number of 2018 and 2019 World Coffee Championship events.

Proposals are being accepted until 1 June 2017 to host the 2019 World Barista Championship, World Brewers Cup, World Latte Art Championship, World Coffee In Good Spirits Championship, World Coffee Roasting Championship, and World Cup Tasters Championship.

Proposals will also be accepted to host the Cezve/Ibrik Championship in 2018 or 2019.

These championships see national champions from more than 60 countries gather to showcase and compete at coffee’s highest levels. They are the cornerstone of the competitive calendar, bringing the global community together to celebrate coffee excellence.

World Coffee Events says the “ideal" host event is one that seeks to bring professional coffee communities together from across the globe.

These competitions are the premier community events in coffee, and in 2018 and 2019, they could be coming to your city.

The championships are produced by World Coffee Events, a subsidiary of the Specialty Coffee Association.

Australia hosted the World Barista Championship and World Brewers Cup in 2013, and the World Latte Art Championship in 2013, both at the Melbourne International Coffee Expo.

The question is, Australia, can we do it again?
