Hudsons Coffee launches new van store

From the October 2014 issue.

Hudsons Coffee is launching a new concept store in Chirnside Park Shopping Centre, in Melbourne’s northeast.

The store will operate out of a 1970s Citroen H Van, imported especially for the Chirnside Park location.

The van will sit amongst a simulated roadway with curbside dining for 20 plus customers.

“This new store concept has been some time in the making for us, and has been developed to provide a point of difference that is captivating for both landlords and customers, as well as showcasing the innovation from within our network,” says Adam Summerville, the Managing Director of Hudsons Coffee. “The Chirnside Park location was chosen for the launch as it provided a unique opportunity to try something new for Hudsons Coffee, as well as adding something different and distinctive to the shopping centre itself.

As well as serving Hudsons Coffee’s choice of coffee blends, the van will introduce a menu developed especially for the store by the company’s Executive Chef, Peter Reffell. Peter’s has previously worked in some of the world’s top Michelin-starred restaurants under the guidance of head chefs, including Marco Pierre White.

Parked within the shopping centre building, the van will be open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week.
