Taste Coffee Like a Boss at Laneway Learning

From the June 2015 issue.

Coffee enthusiasts will have the opportunity to learn how to Taste Coffee Like a Boss when Laneway Learning hosts an appreciation class at Gypsy Hideout in Northcote, Victoria on 6 July.

Shanny Sena from Reverence Coffee Roasters will run the class, which will focus on teaching the tools of the coffee flavour identification trade.

“Identifying the subtleties of coffee flavours doesn’t need to be an overwhelming experience,” says Laneway Learning. “This class is sure to send you to the nearest trendy cafe to confidently discuss tasting notes with the server.”

Shanny has been working in the specialty coffee industry for eight years in a range of roles. During the class she will cover coffee terminology, coffee palate education, identifying acidity and sweetness, and complexity of taste appreciation.

The class is being held in Northcote from 6:15 – 7:30pm.
