NZSCA announces 2020 championship schedule

The New Zealand Specialty Coffee Association has announced the schedule for its upcoming 2020 championship season.

New Zealand Cup Tasters Championship 2020 on 28 February will initiate the season at Ozone Coffee Roasters in Auckland.

The Meadow Fresh New Zealand Latte Art Championship 2020 will follow the Cup Tasters on 1 March at La Marzocco in Auckland.

The winner of each event will be crowned the national champion and have the opportunity to represent New Zealand in Warsaw, Poland at the 2020 world championships in June.

Meadow Fresh New Zealand Barista Championships 2020 is the final event of the schedule and will take place from 4 April to 5 April at the Expressions Entertainment Center in Upper Hut, Wellington.

The winner will travel to Melbourne, Australia to represent New Zealand against 50 other national champions at the World Barista Championship 2020 in May.

All three events will be free for spectators.
