NZSCA appoints two new board members

AGM

The New Zealand Specialty Coffee Association (NZSCA) has appointed two new board members, Frank Hsu from Franks Coffee and Ken Shi of Aoraki Coffee Roasters.

Elected at the 2021 NZSCA Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 28 May in Queenstown, the NZSCA is New Zealand’s national body for speciality coffee stakeholders.

The election saw seven members nominate themselves for the board with plans to create a sub-committee for the remaining five members.

David Burton has stepped down from the role as Immediate and Past President. During this role, he sat on the original board in 2005 and 2006 and again from 2015 to 2021.

The executive team remains unchanged with Roz Cattell from Beverage Services continuing as President, John Cole from Mojo Coffee Cartel as Vice President, Megan Weeper from Acme Cups as second vice president, and Nic McClean from Extra Shot Consultants as Treasurer.

Chris Innes from Bean Addicted Marketing was elected again as the Allied Representative and David Huang from Society Coffee was re-elected for his second-year term on the board.

The NZSCA AGM was sponsored by Sucafina, Wilfa x Acme, John Burton, and Bon Accord, with the committee looking forward to building a stronger community following the COVID-19 pandemic.
