The New Zealand Specialty Coffee Association (NZSCA) has had to cancel its inaugural Coffee in Good Spirits Championship after not reaching the minimum number or applicants needed to run the competition.
The NZSCA says World Coffee Events requires there be a minimum number of participants to run a nationally sanctioned event.
The 2019 New Zealand Cup Tasters and Latte Art Championships will still be held as scheduled.
The NZ Cup Tasters Championship will be held at Ozone Coffee Roasters in Auckland on 3 May.
The Meadow Fresh NZ Latte Art Championship will take place at La Marzocco Auckland on 5 May.
