Prana Chai has released its sticky chai Decaf Blend, inspired by the needs of its café and coffeeshop partners around the world for a decaf black tea-based sticky chai.

“For those café operators who loved the presentation and cult following of Prana Chai and how it fit seamlessly into their specialty coffee experience, they were finding they had to offer completely different styles of drinks for those who were looking for decaf,” says Prana Chai.

“For decaf coffee drinkers they could offer the same beverage, just decaffeinated. But for their sticky chai drinkers? They were having to offer rooibos or herbal teas as an alternative – definitely not the same thing as a creamy, milk-based sticky chai.”

The Decaf Blend has just as much “zing” and flavour as Prana Chai’s Original Blend, without the caffeine content.

“It’s a comforting tea quite unlike anything you’ve ever ‘chai-ed’. A Goldilocks combination of whole spices and honey – not too spicy, not too sweet. PranaChai Decaf Blend beautifully balances smooth and spicy, with the same rich full flavour you know and love from our Original Blend,” Prana Chai says.

Prana Chai’s loose-leaf black tea is decaffeinated using the CO2 Method, which preserves its flavour and health benefits. The tea leaves are combined with a naturally occurring gas, carbon dioxide, which attracts the caffeine molecules and removes them from the tea. As the flavour molecules are larger than the caffeine molecules, they remain intact, preserving the flavour of our full-bodied black tea.

Prana Chai’s sticky chai Decaf Blend is handcrafted in Melbourne with premium decaffeinated black tea, whole spices, and ginger. The chai is coated with Australian pure honey to bind all the aromatic flavours together.

For more than a decade, Prana Chai has developed four chai blends – Original, Turmeric, Peppermint, and Vegan – in Melbourne that match the quality of specialty coffee expected in Australian cafés.

Now, the company has also released its beloved sticky chai blends in premium 100-gram tubes; and a brand new, all-flavour starter kit – perfect for gifting, or to help chai lovers make their favourite coffeeshop brews at home.

These new kits come with all four of Prana Chai’s sticky chai blends, a little pot of honey for those who like it extra sweet, a chai brewing pot and strainer, environmentally friendly Huskee cup, and a recipe booklet for $59.

Prana Chai’s award-winning sticky chai is blended by hand in Melbourne, using all natural ingredients. A homegrown success story, Prana Chai was created in a cafe in St Kilda, and is now a staple menu item in specialty cafés around the world! Want to know more about us? Read on HERE.
