The RoAmi roast analyser is a cordless hand-held portable spectrophotometer that accurately reads the roast degree of whole or ground coffee in seconds.
Near infrared light is beamed onto the coffee sample. A roast sample that is lighter in shade will reflect more light than a darker roast sample. The amount of light reflected is converted into a percentage by the RoAmi interface software. The higher the percentage, the lighter the roast (more light reflected).
Up to 100 readings can be stored on the reader with the time and date of the reading, and SCAA/Agtron description. The RoAmi is ideal for roasting companies wanting to ensure that their coffee is roasted consistently batch after batch. It features a colour display, charging cradle, sample dish, scoop, and calibration tile.
