Single O announces Parachute World(ish) Championship

Single O

Single O has announced the World(ish) Parachute championship winner will receive a free trip to Japan.

The state-by-state competition culminating in Melbourne on 28 September for the Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE), is a Parachute or single-serve drip coffee bag brewing competition.

Each competitor will receive some empty Parachutes, whole bean origin and a kettle and put their brewing knowledge to the test.

Twelve competitors in each state with eight in the Victoria round will compete to be the state champ. The grand final will see the winners from each state go head-to-head.

As competitor space is limited, expressions of interest do not confirm a spot in the competition. Competitors will be randomly selected with a maximum of one competitor per venue and notified via email prior to the event.

All successful competitors will receive empty Parachutes and sample coffee before the competition night for practise.

According to Single O, first place winner will receive a plane ticket and three nights’ accommodation in Japan, the region where drip coffee was created.
