Coffee trader Southland Merchants will host the first episode of a new Instagram Live series featuring Brazilian coffee industry members on 15 April at 7pm, Adelaide time.
The first episode of Coffee chat on rocky times will see Southland Merchants talk to producer Leonardo Montesanto Tavares, who placed first in the 2018 Cup of Excellence Brazil Naturals and second in the 2019 Cup of Excellence Brazil.
Southland Merchants plans to host the talks once per week, with different growers, agronomists, and more lined up for future entries.
“It’s going to be very relaxed chat with our coffee friends,” says Nadia Moreira, Co-founder of Southland Merchants.
“We will talk about varieties, processing, their stories, expectations for the 2020/2021 crop, and their view of everything after COVID 19.”
Leonardo is a long time friend of Nadia and Southland Merchants. Their relationship with his father Ricardo goes back two decades, and they work with his Matilde Farm.
