The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) has announced the locations for the 2025 World Coffee Championships (WCC), which will be held in four cities across three continents.
“We are extremely excited to be taking the World Coffee Championships to no less than three continents in 2025,” says Specialty Coffee Association CEO Yannis Apostolopoulos.
The championships aim to showcase the unique skillsets within the coffee industry, and provide a platform for thousands of coffee professionals to demonstrate their artistic style, expertise, and passion for specialty coffee across seven skill-based competitions.
For the first time in its history, the World Brewers Cup will take place in Southeast Asia, at World of Coffee Jakarta in Indonesia from 15 to 17 May 2025.
“As the organisers of World of Coffee Asia, we are honoured to host the World Brewers Cup Championship in Jakarta next year,” says Exporum INC CEO Danny Shin.
“This prestigious event will bring together top brewers from around the globe to compete and demonstrate their skills in Indonesia, a renowned coffee-producing region, and highlight our rich coffee heritage and vibrant culture, marking a significant milestone for our coffee industry.
“We are excited to provide a platform for the world’s best brewers to share their passion for coffee.”

The World Coffee Roasting Championship will take place at Specialty Coffee Expo Houston in the United States at George R. Brown Convention Centre from 25 to 27 April.
The World Brewers Cup will take place at World of Coffee Jakarta in Indonesia at the Jakarta Convention Centre form 15 to 17 May.
The World Latte Art, World Coffee in Good Spirits, and the World Cup Tasters Championships will take place at World of Coffee Geneva in Switzerland at the Palexpo Exhibition and Convention Centre from 26 to 28 June.
As previously announced, the 25th edition of the World Barista Championship will take place at HostMilano in Italy and will be held at Fiera Milano (Rho) from 17 to 21 October.
The SCA hosts The World Coffee Championships each year with the aim to elevate worldwide standards and support the growth and activities of the global coffee community.
