The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) has announced the 2021 Specialty Coffee Expo, scheduled to take place in New Orleans in April, will be postponed to 30 September to 3 October, 2021.
“We’re sure this will be disappointing to many, however the consensus was that a postponement to the fall would be a safer, more prudent option, and allow our community and participating businesses more time to recover from the pandemic,” the SCA CEO Yannis Apostolopoulos says.
The largest coffee event in North America, the Specialty Coffee Expo attracts more than 14,000 attendees and over 500 exhibitors from more than 75 countries every April.
“We understand the impact that postponing Expo may have on the businesses of our exhibitors and attendees, and how important it is to find meaningful ways to stay connected and informed with market trends and innovations,” Yannis says.
“To help facilitate those connections and promote lead generation, we will be launching a new online platform in the coming months where coffee professionals can easily find and engage with 2020 and 2021 Expo exhibitors.”
“We want to extend a special thanks to everyone who has remained committed to the mission of the SCA and the Specialty Coffee Expo as we navigate the best path forward and look forward to seeing you again in New Orleans,” Yannis says.
