Museums Victoria has collaborated with The Walt Disney Company Australia & New Zealand to launch the Star Wars Galactic Café at Melbourne Museum from 7 June 2025.

The Star Wars Galactic Café will be an Australian-first food and beverage concept in the Star Wars galaxy and feature a menu inspired by elements of the universe. The “iconic” blue milk will be on the menu, however the full menu is yet to be announced.

The café will launch alongside the LEGO Star Wars exhibition, which opened to customers on 4 May 2025.

CEO and Director at Museums Victoria Lynley Crosswell says the café will add to the immersive experience created by the existing LEGO Star Wars exhibition.

“The Star Wars Galactic Café showcases Museums Victoria’s expertise in creating rich, sensory experiences – taking visitors on a deliciously immersive, intergalactic journey,” Lynley says.

“Combining world-class hospitality with the timeless appeal of the Star Wars galaxy, the Star Wars intergalactic café offers Melbourne Museum’s visitors yet another way to engage with this premier exhibition, in a cosmically cool atmosphere.”

The LEGO Star Wars Exhibition has been built with over 8 million LEGO bricks over the course of 25,000 hours and has been created by Ryan ‘Brickman’ McNaught.

VP and GM of Disney Consumer Products Australia and New Zealand, Tim Everett, says the new themed café will be fit for all types of fans of the Star Wars universe.

“Whether you’re a lifelong Jedi or new to the Force, the Star Wars Galactic Café promises an unforgettable experience that will satisfy your hunger for adventure and delight,” Tim says.

“It’s a celebration of creativity, imagination, and the cultural phenomenon that is Star Wars. We’re incredibly proud to bring this first-of-its-kind experience to fans in Australia.”

The Star Wars Galactic Café is far from the first themed café opened by Museums Victoria to support a special exhibition. The venue put on a ‘Titanic High Tea’ in tandem with the recent Titanic: The Artefact Exhibition in 2024.
