Entries close 24 January. The ASCA 2020 Monin Australian CIGS Championship will be held during the ASCA Condesa Co Lab 2020 Australian Coffee Championships at Tasting Australia in Adelaide form 27 to 30 March.

Zamora Company’s Licor 43 has announced a three-year partnership with World Coffee Events to become the title sponsor of the Licor 43 World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship (WCIGS).
The sponsorship begins with the 2020 event hosted in Warsaw, Poland, and continues until 2022.

The World of Coffee trade show in Berlin, Germany saw new World Latte Art (WLAC), Coffee in Good Spirits (WCIGS), Cup Tasters, and Cezve/Ibrik Champions crowned on 8 June.
Manuela Fensore of Barlady Café Academy in Italy won the 2019 WLAC. Hao-Yuan Chen of Taiwan placed second and Liu Guoqiang of Sanshierli Academy in China placed third.

Danny Wilson of Ona Coffee wins Australian CIGS Championship back to back
Danny Wilson has won the 2019 Australian Coffee in Good Spirits (CIGS) Championship, his second Australian CIGS title in a row, at Manly Spirits Co. Distillery in New South Wales on 2 May.

NZSCA cancels New Zealand Coffee in Good Spirits Championship
The New Zealand Specialty Coffee Association (NZSCA) has had to cancel its inaugural Coffee in Good Spirits Championship after not reaching the minimum number or applicants needed to run the competition.
The NZSCA says World Coffee Events requires there be a minimum number of participants to run a nationally sanctioned event.
The 2019 New Zealand Cup Tasters and Latte Art Championships will still be held as scheduled.

Danny Wilson is in high spirits following his third-place win at the World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship (CIGS) in November. Following the results, the Ona roaster celebrated with a glass of champagne before attending the official competition after party with his team.
