Takumi Sakamoto of Deluca Coffee has won the Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA) 2019 Australian Coffee Roasting Championship, held at Criteria Coffee in Port Melbourne, Victoria from 29 to 31 May.
Pat Connolly of Genovese Coffee placed second and Daniel Shadbolt of Veneziano Coffee Roasters placed third in the competition.

Nominations for Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA) board candidates and must be submitted by 9 October, ahead of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday 12 October at Criteria Coffee in Port Melbourne.
The Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place at 5:30pm on 12 October at Criteria Coffee in Port Melbourne.
ASCA will livestream the AGM using a platform that will also allow members to vote where appropriate. ASCA says this format will allow inclusivity for all interstate members who can’t make the meeting in person.

The 2019 Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA) Southern Region Championship will take place from 13 to 14 October.

Tilly Sproule of Tim Adams Specialty Coffee has won the Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA) Northern Region Barista Championship for the fourth consecutive year.
