Minas Hill Coffee has confirmed that Cup of Excellence (COE) Brazil Natural 2018 winner, and long-time partner of the Brazilian coffee importer, Ismael Andrade will attend the Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) 2019.
Ismael’s COE winning coffee scored 93.26 at the internationally juried coffee competition. Another of his lots, using the Yellow Icatu varietal, won best coffee from the Cerrado Region of Brazil, a protected designation of origin.

Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA) Australian Brewers Cup Champion Heath Dalziel is preparing for the 2018 World Brewers Cup, to be held in Brazil from 7 to 9 November.
Heath, of Third Time Lucky, won the National Brewers Cup title in March at the Melbourne International Coffee Expo.
He is currently in Canberra, training with 2017 World Brewers Cup runner-up Sam Corra. He has also worked with 2014 Australian Brewers Cup Champion Devin Loong, and 2015 World Barista Champion and Ona Coffee Founder Sasa Sestic.

Juwon Jung of Mikro Coffee Roasters in Torquay, Victoria, has won the Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA) Southern Region Cup Tasters Championship, held at Criteria Coffee in Victoria from 13 to 14 October.
“It’s exciting [to win] but a little bit scary too,” Juwon says.
