Lavazza to launch three new blends at Australian Open

Lavazza has announced it will launch three new locally roasted coffee blends at the Australian Open 2019 tennis tournament, taking place from 14 to 27 January 2019. “We are proud to be present for the fourth year running at the Australian Open, where we will be officially launching three new products destined for the food service channel,” says Silvio Zaccareo, Asia-Pacific Business Unit Director and Australia Managing Director of Lavazza.

Grinders Coffee partners with Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race

On 10 December, Grinders Coffee Roasters announced the formation of a partnership with the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA). The partnership included naming-rights to the Grinders Coffee Solas Big Boat Challenge, which took place on 11 December in Sydney Harbour, and will see Grinders Coffee play a part in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race from 27 December. Participants will be able to sample the Melbourne-roasted coffee at Constitution Dock, Tasmania.

Stepping out onto Sydney’s freshly manicured Allianz Stadium dressed in the Sydney Roosters’ iconic red, white and blue jersey is a memory few are lucky to share, but one Steve Wrightson recalls well. “It’s electric. I just loved playing the game of rugby league,” Steve says. “I played half a dozen games as a professional rugby league player until injury forced me to retire early.” Steve was a proud Roosters player, but his heart always stayed with his childhood team, the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
