Judging begins for 2019 Australian International Coffee Awards

More than 800 coffees from 151 Australian and international roasters have been submitted in the 2019 Australian International Coffee Awards (AICA). Judging for the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) competition began on 20 March at the Melbourne Showgrounds. Conducted annually, AICA sees a panel of industry experts congregate, recognising the smoothest, frothiest and most refined local and international coffees. The panel includes roasters, green bean buyers, trainers and educators working in coffee.

Xtracted Espresso Solutions has announced it will showcase its new range of Synesso products at the 2019 Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) from 7 to 9 February.  “This will be the first time in the history of MICE that Synesso has been available through an independent supply chain. The response we have received so far from the industry has been truly amazing,” Xtracted Director Dean Slade says.

Xtracted Espresso Solutions announces importing partnership with Synesso

Equipment supplier Xtracted Espresso Solutions has announced the formation of a direct importing partnership with Seattle based espresso machine manufacturer Synesso. This is the first time in 12 years that Synesso have opened its distribution channels in Australia. As the only independent importer and distributor of Synesso in Australia, Xtracted Espresso Solutions says it looks forward to having the machines available to a broader range of coffee roasters.
