The Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA) has announced a locked-out field of 12 competitors for the 2023 ASCA Coffee in Good Spirits Championship to be held on 10 September from 4 pm at Sammy Jnr in Sydney, New South Wales.
The event promotes innovative beverage recipes that showcase coffee and spirits in a competition format. Competitors must prepare two Irish coffees followed by two unique alcohol based designer drinks for the judges.
Participants must make a designer beverage using Mr Black Coffee Liqueur and use Riverina Fresh Thickened Cream in their Irish coffees.
Sponsored equipment includes the two group Sanremo Cafe Racer espresso machine and Victoria Arduino MY75 coffee grinder.
The crowned champion will represent Australia at the Taiwan International Coffee Show from 17 to 20 November 2023.
