Toby’s Estate is launching the online game Origin Life with Toby’s along with a limited-edition Flavour Savour Blueberry Crumble blend to celebrate International Coffee Day on 1 October.
The game mimics the life of a coffee farmer in Colombia using the process of planting, fermenting and roasting to bring to life the Blueberry Crumble coffee.
“We’ve built this game as a fun way to bridge the gap between the often hard to understand world of specialty coffee and general coffee lovers. Most consumers know a coffee is delicious but often not sure why,” says Nich Rae, Toby Estate’s Head of Coffee.
“By creating a game, it’s providing people a tool to understand the process behind coffee from growing to roasting in a more light-hearted and hopefully memorable way. What better thing to do on international coffee day than pop the lid of specialty coffee.”
Any players who complete the Origin Life with Toby’s game get a 15 per cent discount off any Toby’s Estate coffees online, including the new Blueberry Crumble.
The limited-edition coffee has tasting notes of blueberry compote, berries of the forest, blueberry cheesecake and blueberry danish.
Blueberry Crumble is available to buy online and from selected cafés, while Origin Life with Toby’s game will be ready to play free from 1 October.
Toby’s Estate is also hosting a pop-up in Brisbane to celebrate the launch of the Blueberry Crumble coffee with samples and give-aways of Blueberry Crumble coffee soft-serve ice-cream.
The pop-up will take place from 4 to 6 October at Felix for Goodness on 50 Burnett Lane in Brisbane from 8am to 12pm.
Batch brew, $4 limited edition Blueberry Crumble coffees, and Blueberry Crumble beans will be available to buy and take home.
