Veneziano Coffee Roasters has launched a new range of specialty coffee capsules targeted at the home coffee market. Offering the best quality available, the brand’s initial release features Crave, its number one selling blend, and a seasonal single origin from the Papua New Guinea (PNG) Baroida Estate.
While not being the first specialty coffee roaster to enter the pod and capsule market, Veneziano Coffee Roasters took a long-term view to developing the right recipe and roast profile for the capsule format.
“We went through an intensive research and development process that included adjusting the roast parameters of our Crave blend to ensure the same great flavour profile that we deliver in whole beans for espresso would come through in a pod format,” says Pete Licata, R&D Consultant for Veneziano Coffee Roasters.
The Crave capsules are described as big bodied with notes of dark chocolate and caramel that makes it perfect for milk drinkers. Meanwhile, the PNG Baroida Estate capsule appeals to black coffee drinkers with its juicy profile and notes of mixed berries.
“Veneziano Coffee Roasters has chosen to expand into the single serve market now to address growing customer demand across our key channels – retail, wholesale, and online,” says Daniel Finn, Marketing Manager for Veneziano Coffee Roasters.
“We also wanted our capsules to be in an aluminium format as we found in our testing it preserves the flavour and crema better than other formats in addition to being recyclable.”
The Nespresso compatible capsules are aluminium, 100 per cent recyclable, and available in single 10 packs and 60 pack cartons.
Now available on Veneziano’s website, at Veneziano cafés or at selected wholesale partners.
