Hamilton in Victoria has placed second in the 2019 Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting municipal water category.
The Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting wad held on 23 February, and judged water from around the world in categories also including bottled, sparkling, and purified drinking water.
Eldorado, Colorado in the United States placed first in the municipal water category.

“The consistency in winners from year to year with different panels of judges validates the choices,” says Arthur von Wiesenberger, a judge at the event.
“It also speaks to the impressively high calibre of the waters entered.”
Ten media judges spent hours tasting and selecting from waters sourced in 14 US states, five Canadian provinces and eleven international countries.
“There were waters from two new countries this year: Grenada and Taiwan. They joined waters from Turkey, Bosnia, Greece and Australia,” says Jeanne Mozier, an event founder.
Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews took to social media to congratulate the town.
The 2020 Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting is scheduled for 22 February.
