Wega has announced it will become an official partner of the 2016 Barista Camp, an initiative of the Barista Guild of Europe.
Now in its third year, the Barista Camp invites baristas from across Europe will take part in a range of professional development sessions organised over four days. Participants will choose from different educational tracks depending on their particular skills and goals. All modules will offer Specialty Coffee Association of Europe coffee diploma system certification.
In addition to lessons and workshops there will also be group lectures and tastings, as well as time to socialise with colleagues and teachers.
In 2014, Wega’s machines of the tricolor brand were flown to Athens, Greece. In 2015, its machines travelled to the event in Riccione, Italy, and this year from 10 to 13 October, the Wega My Concept range will make its way to Pärnu in Estonia for the camp. This includes the lever-operated Vela Vintage, the Polaris with raised groups, and the IO.
